Do focus on whether you’re actually qualified. Are your skills, experiences, and accomplishments aligned? Then go for it.
Don’t click that tempting “Easy Apply” button on LinkedIn.
Do go to the company’s website and apply directly.
Why? It’s usually the preferred way, plus it shows you care enough to put in the extra step.
Don’t just drop in any ol' resume.
Do tailor it to this exact job. Match their keywords. Show the impact you’ve made in past roles. Make it obvious you’re their person.
Don’t forget about your network.
Do check if you know anyone at the company or could get a referral. Even a quick intro email can give you an edge.
